About Heather

Heather Beachem is a Grand Prix rider now based in Sacramento, CA. Heather has been riding for 30 years, teaching for the past 15, building a successful training and sales business in her hometown of Atlanta, Georgia before moving her business to Colorado in 2019. After four wonderful years in CO, Heather has relocated with her Fiancé to the Sacramento area.

Heather's goals are to someday represent the USA at the Olympic Games or World Equestrian Games. Her focus is creating High Performance Athletes, and bringing horses and riders up the levels to FEI. Her training approach is creative and empathetic, and always falls back on the horses have to be happy and having fun in their work (riders too!) This system creates a unique Team environment that is highly sought after in an otherwise individual sport. Passionate about training, honest sales, and matching riders with the right horses to accomplish their goals. Over the years Heather has helped students qualify and compete at the North American Youth Championships (NAYC), Festival of Champions, Regional Championships, and the USDF Finals; she has helped multiple students to train from Training Level to Grand Prix, and to earn their USDF Medals.

Heather was a working student/assistant for five years under International Grand Prix rider, Karen Lipp, and later worked for two years as Olympian Michelle Gibson's assistant. Heather credits her time under Karen with her ability to adapt in her coaching style to best suit her students. While training under Karen, Heather came up through the Young Rider ranks, competing at NAJYRC and Festival of Champions- finishing in the top 10 in the USA and top 15 in North America; then through the U25 program where she finished 2nd and 3rd respectfully at the USEF National Young Adult “Brentina Cup”, earning her USDF Gold Medal at 21 years old.  Over the years Heather has had the opportunity to ride with Charlotte Dujardin, George Williams, Christine Traurig, Steffen Peters, Jan Ebeling, Michelle Gibson, Axel Steiner, Janet Foy, Natalie Lamping, Sandy Hotz, and Kristi Wysocki.  For the past few years she continues her education with regular help from George Williams, US Team Coach, and Janet Foy, 5* Olympic Judge.

Heather is available for training in the Sacramento area, as well as clinics.  Heather teaches online via Pivo all across the US five days a week. We accept a select number of sales horses, and pride ourselves on full disclosure and honesty. Our goal is to match partnerships and create long term relationships with happy horses and owners. We also offer consulting services to those looking to buy their next horse or to evaluate and determine price for selling their own. Please contact Heather for more information. Being new to California Heather is still seeking a "home training barn", if you or someone you know may have a facility that may work for a select number of high performance horses please contact us. We are excited for this new chapter and see the endless opportunities!
